Love on Tour

Just a few days ago, I found a treasure of a book titled “Love on the Rocks” by Kay Harris.  It is the first book in the Love on Tour series.

After I read the book for professional review, I was delighted to find out that there are already two more books in the series to be read, and almost found myself salivating like a seagull at a fish-n-chips shop, just thinking about getting my hands on them.

While I am a sucker for a great romance (and, unfortunately, there are not many great ones around), “Love on the Rocks” completely blew my mind.

Dani Roberts is a park ranger who has two months to kill between assignments.  After escaping a truck driver who had tried to rape her after she hitch-hiked her way through Nevada, Dani finds herself at a truck stop diner, waiting for the next bus to come through to take her safely to her destination.  While waiting for her food order, two men walk into the diner, sit in the next booth and start talking.  Dani looks up, only to find two of the most famous rock stars in America, Hank Tolk and Sean Rush, having a coffee.  Idle chatter between the three of them leads to Dani being offered a seat on their tour bus, where she also meets their bus driver, Tony, and Sean’s personal assistant, Mike.  Each of the men have a story.  Hank is a self-titled “slut” who flirts with every beautiful woman he sees.  Sean is a man of few words and even fewer smiles and is covered in tattoos.  Mike always goes out of his way to make sure Sean and any of his guests are comfortable.  Tony is reliable and can always be counted on to get them to each destination safely and on time.  Determined to avoid any heartache after a previous abusive relationship, Dani becomes a treasured friend to them all and finds herself falling deeply in love with one, but keeps her feelings to herself, driving the paparazzi into an absolute frenzy.

I got so caught up in this book that I cried, laughed and almost punched a hole in the wall as emotions ran deep for a woman who has a lot of inner-demons to wrestle.  I look forward to reading the next two books in the series, and should you want to check this title out for yourself, just click on the picture above.  I give it five stars and more.

Happy reading! 🙂
