A number of people have been asking me, over the past few days, how Amazon Kindle works, what is it, how much does it cost and where to find it. Hopefully the following information helps you all.
You can download (for free) the Kindle app for your smart phone, your tablet or your computer/laptop from here:
FOR ANDROID DEVICES: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.kindle&hl=en
FOR PC / LAPTOP: http://www.amazon.com/gp/kindle/pc/download
The reader app/program is free to download and install. The only price a person will pay is for each eBook they want to read (unless the cost of that particular eBook is also free, in which you pay nothing to read it).
Once installed, you are able to configure Amazon Kindle’s reading app to suit your needs. For example, I am legally blind. Brightness knocks me on my butt really quick. So I have a black background (instantly giving me the option for light coloured fonts) and the text size is very large. You can choose any type of background, font and text size you like to make your reading easier.
With many books being available in both paper and digital format these days, a lot of people are choosing the ease of reading books and newspaper articles on Kindle, which easily fits into your pocket or purse (unless it is on your PC).
Hopefully this answers your Kindle queries 🙂
